Do you sell used equipment?

What does sealing mean?

Sealing means you pay 50% of the rental price to have a "backup camera" sent to you — half price, however long the rental is. If the seal comes back intact, that is all you pay. If you break the seal you have had the equipment available as fully usable gear for the whole rental, so the full rental applies plus a 100 SEK handling fee for re-sealing and inspection. It exists for professional photographers who need backup equipment with them — "just in case" equipment — should their main camera and/or lens break or similar.

So choose sealing when you do not expect to need the equipment: you pay half the ordinary rental price for the spare, and only if the seal is broken does the full rental apply, plus a 100 SEK handling fee.

Question 3

How is the rental period calculated?

The rental period is the days from your arrival day up to and including your return day. If the delivery is delayed we reduce the rental for the time you could not use the equipment — get in touch and we will sort it out.

The rental then runs in whole days. Both the arrival day and the return day count as rental days and are included in the price. The equipment must be handed over to PostNord by 18:00 at the latest on the return day — you choose whether to drop it at a service point or book a pickup at home. You can return the equipment early — the price is then recalculated for the actual rental time according to the ordinary price list, and the difference is refunded.

What you are paying for in the shipping

Short answer: two journeys instead of one, heavy and insured goods — and flat shipping prices set below our own cost.

When you shop in an ordinary web shop the parcel travels one way. With us it always travels two: out to you, and home to us again. That alone makes the cost double the shipping prices you are used to.

This is what is included:

The return shipping. You never pay extra to send the equipment back. You choose whether to leave the parcel at a PostNord service point or to book a pickup at your door — pickup is included for everyone, no matter how you chose to receive the delivery.

Proper packaging. The equipment travels in a protective hard case, not in a bag. That makes the parcels heavy and bulky — and PostNord charges by weight and size.

Insurance at replacement value, both ways. Every shipment is insured for what the equipment costs to buy new, the whole time PostNord has it — out to you and home to us again. If a lens worth 40,000 kr is crushed in transit, the insurance covers it, not you.

PostNord's best services. We ship with strict identity checking — only the person who signed the rental agreement can collect the parcel — plus fast delivery and full flexibility for you as the recipient. In the PostNord app you can redirect the parcel to another service point or choose a time for the home delivery.

Can I return an order early and get money back?

Yes! If you want to return an order early, you get back the difference between what you have already paid and what you would have paid for the time you actually had the equipment. You do not need to tell us: just hand the parcel in at a PostNord service point or book a collection, exactly as you would for an ordinary return. We recalculate the rental from the day PostNord received the parcel, and refund the difference automatically once we have received and checked the equipment.

Note that the refund is based on how many days you hand back, not on how long the booking was: two saved days give the same amount whether you booked four days or fourteen. The amount is often smaller than people expect, because the first day costs the full daily rate and each additional day only a share of it — so the days you hand back are the cheap ones.

NOTE: our shortest rental time is one day, so if you return the products immediately on receipt, you will still be charged for a one-day rental.

Why can I not start the rental on a particular day?

When you book your rental, the date picker has some restrictions. Here is what they mean:

The arrival day — the day the equipment is delivered to you — is always a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, and never the day after a public holiday. A rental can of course include weekends and public holidays; this is only about which day it can begin. The reason is PostNord: they neither collect nor deliver at weekends or on public holidays. We plan the transport so the parcel is with you on your chosen arrival day, and on those days that cannot be arranged.

The price difference between, say, a 3-day and a 4-day rental is marginal — try it yourself. It does not cost much to add a day or two.

Swedish public holidays cannot be chosen as an arrival day, nor can the day after one, because no freight moves then.

This means the product is fully booked, already rented out, or the day is too soon for the parcel to arrive in time. Order before 18:00 and the equipment can be with you
