Can I rent as a private individual?

Yes. You need no company, no F-tax certificate and no proof of being a professional — we rent to private individuals on the same terms as to companies.

That is the whole idea behind Flexfoto. Professional equipment is traditionally rented out by companies to companies, often on the condition that you collect and return it in person. Here it is enough that you are a private individual with an address in Sweden — the equipment comes to your door and travels back to us on a prepaid return — you get a QR code by text and email to show at the service point.

What you need

**You must be 18 **and able to identify yourself with a Swedish BankID. BankID is how you sign the rental agreement, and that signature is what replaces the deposit — we never require one.

**A delivery address in Sweden. **We deliver to your door or to a PostNord service point, wherever in the country you live.

**Nothing beyond that. **No deposit, no company, no membership fee, and no minimum rental beyond a single day.

The same terms as for companies

The range, the rental periods (1–90 days) and the all-risk cover are identical whether you rent privately or in a company name. Shipping is the same flat price either way, and the return leg is always included.

What differs is the VAT. As a private customer you see prices including VAT — what you see is what you pay. Choose "Business" at the top of the page and the same figure stays, but as a price excluding VAT: 25 % is added at checkout, and the company deducts it. A company therefore pays more at checkout, but its net cost is the figure you see.

Do you run a credit check on private individuals?

In many cases, yes. We use Creditsafe, which is a lighter kind of credit check that neither shows up at UC nor affects your credit rating. If you have rented from us before we skip it. There is a separate answer about this further down under Orders.
